CyberHubs is connecting education, industry and public organisations at national level around one shared mission: developing cybersecurity skills aligned with job and learning opportunities to overcome the shortage of cybersecurity professionals at European level. Listen from each country, how the CyberHub model helped them tackle their specific cybersecurity challenges. Want to hear more? Join us at the European Cybersecurity Fest in Vilnius, Lithuania or online on 14 October to get more real-life insights and to build collaborations with other cybersecurity stakeholders from across Europe.
What is the most pressing cybersecurity challenge in your country or region today?
Slovenia faces a growing gap between advanced cyber threats and available skilled professionals, especially in critical infrastructure and public sector environments. Increasing ransomware campaigns, supply chain risks, and geopolitical tensions require stronger collaboration, faster knowledge sharing, and more hands-on training to ensure resilience across both public and private sectors.
How does your CyberHub help address this challenge?
CyberHub Slovenia addresses these challenges by connecting academia, industry, and cybersecurity practitioners through hands-on training, knowledge exchange, and collaborative initiatives. It promotes practical skill development aligned with real-world threats, enabling professionals to strengthen detection and response capabilities while fostering a national ecosystem focused on proactive cybersecurity defence.
What concrete value or impact has the CyberHub generated so far in your country?
CyberHub Slovenia has generated value by strengthening cooperation across industry, education, public institutions and cybersecurity experts. Through workshops, events and practical learning activities, it has supported capacity building, awareness and knowledge exchange. Its youth-focused activities, including school visits and cyber camps, also help inspire the future cybersecurity talent pipeline.
Why should other countries establish CyberHubs?
The CyberHub model is highly scalable because it focuses on collaboration, practical training, and ecosystem building rather than rigid structures. Other countries can adopt this approach to quickly strengthen their cybersecurity posture, bridge skill gaps, and foster innovation by bringing together key stakeholders under a shared mission of resilience.
