CyberHubs showcases key insights at ICODSIP 2024
On 14 November, CyberHubs participated in the 1st International Conference on Digital Skills and IT Professionalism (ICODSIP 2024), held at the Universidad de Alcalá, Spain. This prestigious event brought together leading experts from academia, industry, and policy to discuss the future of digital skills and IT professionalism in Europe.
Marie Montaldo from DIGITALEUROPE, representing CyberHubs, presented highlights from the project’s recently published Cybersecurity Skills Needs Analysis Report. The report explores critical gaps in cybersecurity roles, skills, and training across seven European countries, offering strategic insights into addressing these challenges.
CyberHubs presentation also underscored the value of the European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF). As a unifying tool, the ECSF fosters shared understanding, standardised practices, and effective communication in building Europe’s cybersecurity workforce.
Co-organised by CEPIS and the Spanish Computer Society (ATI), ICODSIP 2024 explored the digital skills gap, cybersecurity challenges, and upskilling needs critical to achieving the EU’s 2030 Digital Decade objectives. CyberHubs’ contributions highlighted innovative, EU-funded approaches to bridging these gaps and building a more resilient digital Europe.
