Entrepreneurship Session: From talent to action – Conscious and cybersecure entrepreneurship

On 29 October 2025, CyberHub Spain organized an entrepreneurship session with the support of the Spanish Ambassadors Tajamar and GMV to highlight the significance of entrepreneurship within the cybersecurity sector.
The session addressed two primary topics for participants: unlocking potential in entrepreneurship, specifically strategies for transforming limitations into opportunities—with a focus on common challenges faced when launching businesses in IT and cybersecurity—and the essential role of coaching in overcoming these barriers and adopting best practices for developing innovative entrepreneurial ideas.
Building on these themes, the agenda featured contributions from two distinguished speakers. Javier Zubieta (GMV) explored how personal factors such as self-judgment, lack of awareness, victimhood, or excessive self-demand can limit an entrepreneur’s potential, offering tools to help participants recognise and overcome these barriers.
This was complemented by a session from Marco Carrasco – trainer for the OSCP certification at Tajamar and graduate in forensic computing from the University of Canterbury – who examined what defines a strong entrepreneurial profile, introduced the concept of Ikigai as a driver of purpose-based initiatives, and explained how to translate ideas into solid business proposals while treating cybersecurity as a strategic investment for long-term, sustainable growth.
