CyberHub Lithuania hosts multi-sector dialogue on cybersecurity and energy resilience at Litgrid

Vilnius, Lithuania – 6 June 2025 – Experts and stakeholders from Lithuania’s energy, technology, and cybersecurity sectors came together at the headquarters of Litgrid, the national electricity transmission system operator, to advance collaboration and share insights on cybersecurity capacity building in critical infrastructure.
The event aimed to raise awareness about the cybersecurity challenges facing critical infrastructure and foster stronger cooperation among public, private, and academic actors. Participants engaged in expert presentations, a technical site visit, and an open discussion.
The event began with a presentation from Litgrid, highlighting Lithuania’s preparations for synchronizing its electricity grid with Continental Europe – a significant milestone set for 8 February 2025.
Attendees were then invited on a guided tour of Litgrid’s Dispatch Control Room, offering firsthand insight into real-time national electricity grid operations. This experience helped participants better understand the technical and operational complexity behind national energy management.
The session continued with a presentation by Darius Šoparas of Cpartners, who introduced DARSIS – a digital system designed to enhance workplace safety management. The tool enables organizations to manage safety instructions, risk assessments, protective equipment, health records, and vaccination tracking within one platform.
Milda Savickaitė presented the goals of the CyberHubs project. She invited attendees to engage with the initiatives through the (d)Academy platform and to participate in future hackathon, encouraging active involvement and skills development.
The event concluded with a moderated discussion, during which participants shared perspectives on challenges and opportunities in the evolving digital and cybersecurity landscape. The conversation emphasized the need for stronger collaboration across sectors and the integration of safety and cybersecurity strategies.
